Gift Registry #2

Ian and I finished all our gift registry stuff! Yay, go us! We're going to have this wedding all done before you can say whosiwhatsit? That's right. So, the other actual registry we have is at......

DRUM ROLL PLEASE (Ian is making drumming or train sounds I'm not sure. Now, it's a video dance party.)

The Bay:

Go to - http://www.hbc.com/registry/find.aspx?gs=GIFTREGISTRY&site=bay&langid=EN
Type in either my name or Ian's name and voila!

We would also be cool with gift cards to Ikea as well. It's not really a registry, but a suggestion.

Peace out homie g's.

Another Update

Hello fellow people,
Let's see, what have Ian and I done since the last update. Well, there are two things that I can think of. We have completed our gift registry at Linens and Things, we still have to do one at The Bay and Ikea, but that's okay. The link for Linens and Things is:

http://canada.lnt.com/registry/index.jsp?clickid=topnav_giftr_txt
Just type in either my name, or Ian's and you can find our registry.

The other thing that we have done is we got our rings. I'm going to attempt attaching a picture here, so bare with me.

Here is mine:

And, here is Ian's:

That's all that we've done since our last update. So, until then, I bid you adieu.

Honeymoon

So Ian and I finally found a place for our honeymoon. We knew that we wouldn't have time to go to a very far away place because he has to be back at work and I am hoping to be writing the Candatite's Questionaire for Dental Hygiene on June 6th(Yes, I know that's Ian's birthday). So, we were toying with places around B.C. We started off with the Island, and then decided that that would add up in cost because of ferries. Then, we thought of Harrison Hot Springs and other places in B.C. We narrowed it down to two choices, both spas, in Harrison Hot Springs and Whistler.

We ended up going with the Whistler one because it was closer, and let's face it, it was nicer. So, here's the website for the place we'll be staying at. No stalking people. We'll be in the master suite. How cool, eh? How canadian I am.

Just click on Guest Rooms and scroll down to the bottom. (Yes, I choose to give you instructions.)

Wedding Dress

So, my wedding dress was supposed to take 4-6 months to come in after we had ordered it. My mom and I ordered it somewhere around end of July/beginning of August, and yet I got a letter in the mail today that the wedding dress had arrived. That's only 2 months! I have 30 days to go and pay for the rest of it. I have the money, but I have no shoes or anything. It amazes me that it took way less time then they told me. Oh, well. I'll have it with me in about a month. Then, I'll have to find a hiding place so that Ian won't be able to find it. Not that he'll go looking for it.

That's about the only other thing that I can think of that's new since the last update. I've been pretty busy with school so we haven't had time to do much else. I know that my mom's friend's daughter is letting me have the veil that she just used for her wedding and that one our co-workers (Beto) is going to bring in cake samples to work so we can try it and see if we want him to make our cake. My sister's boyfriend's mom apparently does flowers, but we'll see if she does our. Other than that, nothing is done.

Peace out!

Wedding Update #1

Hello everyone,

Ian had this idea to create this blog to keep everyone updated on our wedding planning. Now, with me in school, we have actually accomplished quite a lot. We're trying to avoid the whole planning while I'm in school thing. I guess the most important info to let everyone know is the date; May 25, 2008. Time: But, what else is important? The location of course.

Drum roll please...

*insert drumming noises here*

Mayfair Lakes Golf and Country Club in Richmond
http://www.golfbc.com/courses/mayfair_lakes/event_planning/weddings

There's the url for any curious minds that would like to know. Now, since the wedding will be during the morning/early afternoon, no evening weddings for us, it's going to be a cocktail style reception. We haven't quite worked out all the details with the place since it's so ruddy early! But, we will most likely have no dancing and no booze. Who wants to dance in the middle of the day/drink during the day? If you answered; I do! to either of these two questions, you might want to think about DA or AA. Just a suggestion.

As for the other things that we have all sorted out; photography, wedding dress, marriage commisioner. If you have ever worked at the aquarium, then you won't be shocked to hear that Ji Hong (http://www.jihongphoto.com/wedding_gallery.htm) is our photograper. If you look closely enough at the website, you are sure to find some familar faces from around the fish sanctuary. (Yes, that is what I have now dubbed the aquarium.) We're really looking forward to seeing pictures that we didn't even know were taken. It should be quite an adventure.

As for the wedding dress, I can't say much because obviously it's going to be a surprise for Ian. But, I'll say that it's fabulous and I look fabulous. And, yes, I cannot pronounce that word properly as some of you may know.

Finally, marriage commisioner is all booked. We met with her and we really like her. The reason that we chose to go with this person is that she is a lot like us. She has that carefree/laidback attitude that Ian and I are using at the attitude of our wedding. We're confident that she will be the perfect kind of person to officiate our wedding. I'm sure Ian may have more to add on that because the words are not coming to me.

Well, that's about all that is set in concrete right now, so keep checking for constant/not-so-constant updates.

Until next time,
Katie (and Ian who didnt' write this)
